Yes. In most cases, lenders can provide you with a loan if your bankruptcy discharge is at least 1 years old and you've had excellent credit since the discharge. If your bankruptcy was discharged less than 1 years ago or if your credit problems have continued, it may be more difficult to approve your loan.

Just wanted to add that once again it depends on the state where you are located and where you file bankruptcy and under which chapter you file bankruptcy....it is always better to consult an attorney/lawyer because they are Subject matter experts of that field and we should leave it to them to handle these things...Some lenders in some of the states require that you can only apply for a mortgage if your bankruptcy is discharged 2 yrs prior to the date of your loan/mortgage application...

Thought you might want to check this website out. Says that it will not give you a list of grants, but will give you the links to the government grants website where you can search through them all. There is a mention, as well, of government loan programs, which are always at a lower % rate.
Also doesn't promise that you will find what you are looking for, which is refreshing. Anyway, could be worth it and it isn't that expensive. sites.google.com/site/governmentgrantlinks/ You'll have to copy and paste the link. |
